High school is one of the most exciting experiences that people have. When you enter high school there are a few things needed to get through the 4 years. Hot Cheetoes, pens, pencils, phones, school books, an MP3 player, alarm clocks, and calculators are a few things needed to survive high school. Here’s why:

    1. School Books- These books are heavy and annoying but they help you get through your schoolwork fast and efficiently. It also helps to read the books if you didn’t understand the long lecture your teacher gave you earlier in the day.
    2. Pens and Pencils- As you notice coming into high school brings a whole new set of rules. That includes even having a specific writing utensil for each class. Some teachers require you to use pen and if you don’t you shouldn’t even attempt coming to class. Some teachers require you to use a pencil and some students don’t really care which one you bring, as long as you bring one.
    3. Phones- Phones aren’t necessary but they are very useful. High Tech phones like blackberry’s and android phones help you get to a new program teachers use called G- Mail. Teachers love to post lessons and worksheets on G-Mail so you should check your G- Mail frequently. Also it helps you get work if you’re absent.
    4. MP3 Players- Some teachers give you extra time after you’ve finished your work. They might also let you listen to your MP3 player and if you don’t have it, that extra time might be boring.
    5. Alarm clocks- If you’re the type of person that’s never on time an alarm clock can be very useful. High school teachers don’t tolerate late students. There are strict rules against tardies, it can really affect your grades, and your overall high school experience.
    6. Calculators- These are provided for you, but sometimes you may need to finish work in your math class at home that would be a lot easier with a graphing calculator. It is advised that you ask your parents to buy you one and although they may be expensive, they will definitely be worth it.
    7. Hot Cheetos- Lastly Hot Cheetos are a great snack to enjoy at lunch. In moderation these red snacks can be enjoyable.

High school can be one of the most exciting experiences that people have growing up. (Something about friends and connections here too) (As anyone here at Clintondale High would tell you,) When you enter high school there are a few things needed to get through the 4 years. (Must haves like) Hot Cheetoes, (tons of pens and pencils,) a good phone, school books, an MP3 player, alarm clocks, and calculators are a few things needed to survive high school. Here’s why:

    1. School Books- These books are heavy and annoying but they help you get through your schoolwork fast and efficiently. It also helps to read the books if you didn’t understand the long lecture your teacher gave you earlier in the day. (learn the secret of using the glossary and index).
    2. Pens and Pencils- As you notice coming into high school brings a whole new set of rules. That includes even having a specific writing utensil for each class. Some teachers require you to use pen and if you don’t you shouldn’t even attempt coming to class. Some teachers require you to use a pencil and some teachers don’t really care which one you bring, as long as you bring one. (Get plenty of each, you will use them all or be a best friend to your classmate that seems to always forget, good karma)
    3. Phones- Phones aren’t necessary but they are very useful. High Tech phones like Blackberry, iPhone and Android phones help you get to a new program teachers use called G- Mail. Teachers love to post lessons and worksheets on G-Mail so you should check your G- Mail frequently. Also it helps you get work if you’re absent. (Don't forget to mention how texting friends can be a great way to relieve tension or remind one about a due assignment. Some of these phones also give you music player capabilities.)
    4. MP3 Players- Some teachers give you extra time after you’ve finished your work. They might also let you listen to your MP3 player and if you don’t have it, that extra time might be boring. (Have good headphones)
    7. Hot Cheetos- Lastly Hot Cheetos are a great snack to enjoy at lunch (or in between class). In moderation these red snacks can be enjoyable.
